Fancy Red Barr

Buster is a 2010 AQHA red roan gelding by Fancy Red Bark out of Fancy Honey Bar DISPOSITIONS DON'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS ONE! Quiet, gentle, friendly and just plain fun to ride. Buster has been trail riding in the Black Hills in addition to many miles down the road. He has been used extensively to move and gather cows/calves thru the year. He is a true pleasure to ride and has very smooth gaits. Buster loads, clips, bathes and stands for the farrier. He stands a little under 15.2 hands.

He is finished on the heading side and has won money in local jackpots. Buster has been used extensively at the sale barn and has been hauled to team penning’s and sorting’s. He has been patterned some on barrels and poles and he seems to really enjoy it. He has no buck and would work for an experienced youth (can have a big motor when you ask for it) all the way up to one your grandparents can enjoy! He's also been used at local fun shows/Omoksee's. He's the kind of horse who will adjust to the rider and is a true gem!

Most recently he’s been used as a lesson horse for a 14 yr old boy to learn how to rope on.

Rose is a 2018 bay APHA x Clydesdale draft cross mare. She currently stands 15.3 hands tall. As of March 1st she completed 100+ days of riding & we have continued her under saddle through summer of 2021.

Rose is going really well under saddle; she’s also been ridden at area sale barns in NW Iowa & South Dakota a handful of times. She is starting to get very ‘cowy’. We have been tracking the hot heels on her this summer. Rose really has a nice handle & will bend at the poll & collect herself really well for a big horse. We used her in the pasture to rope an ornery longhorn heifer. She pulled without hesitation, rides off alone & is the “point & go type” if you’re riding through the brush.

Rose has an extremely friendly nature & is always the first one to come to us in the pasture for ‘scratches’. She is easy to worm, vaccinate & stands well for the farrier. She is current on all cares - including dentistry.

With her sire & dam’s height - she has the potential to reach 17 hands.

Rose is 6 panel N/N. She has also been color tested Ee/Aa.

STARLIGHTS BOON

Boon is a 2013 red roan grandson of GRAYS STARLIGHT who is an NRHA $1 million sire x PEPTOS STYLISH OAK who is sire of earners in excess of $4 million. His pedigree also includes Freckles Playboy, Doc Tari & THREE times to Peppy San Badger in his 3rd & 4th generation. His foals are FULL of cow sense & athleticism. He stands just shy of 14.3 hands, has a clean neck-line, big hip & beautiful head.

Boon is broke to ride & spent 60 days last winter getting a tune-up by our trainer near Agra, OK. He spent some time in Minnesota summer of 2022 being exposed to working at the area sale barns & different disciplines within the arena. This is a NICE stallion for someone have as their ‘one & only’. Boon hand breeds or pasture breeds & is very easy to handle.

Boon is also 5 panel NN & APHA mare approved.

We have frozen semen on storage at Oklahoma City Equine Clinic. We would like to retain half of these straws & the other half can go with the new owner. There are enough straws for about 33 doses (breeding’s).

**7.7.2021 SOLD**Lily is a 2020 buckskin AQHA x Shire draft cross filly.  We purchased her in the fall of 2020, untouched, and she’s really come a long way.  She has excellent bone & will be massive at maturity.   As of July 1, 2021, Lily has had 30+ days of extensive ground work completed.  She has been exposed to hobbles, standing tied, baths, lunging, being saddled & ground driven.  She will require an experienced hand, as although she’s had a great start, she is very ‘watchy’ & quick. Since we recently added a second stallion to the ranch & also have a yearling stallion coming up the ranks, we have decided to part with our 1/2 drafts and focus primarily on our AQHA breeding program.  We have too many young horses around at this time to do them all justice.     Lily is 6 panel N/N , has been color tested Aa for agouti & stands 14.1 hands.  Sold to Iowa - $5,000

**4.24.2021 SOLD**Turbo is a 2015 AQHA dun roan gelding that stands 15.1 hands tall.  His only white markings are 2 tiny coronet bands on his left front & left hind. Turbo is by Classicwatchquickson, a son of Classic Watch, who has his open ROM in heeling, and is out of Watch Misty Diamond, a Peponita bred mare who is 98.44% foundation. We purchased Turbo from my parents in the Fall of 2015 as a weanling. Turbo was started under saddle as a 2 year old & was ridden extensively at area sale barns in NW Iowa as a 3 & 4 year old & was also used to move cattle from pasture to pasture.  He's got an A+ disposition...the kind that everybody hopes for in a horse and he's easy to trim, clip and haul.  Turbo is always the first one to come to you in the pasture. Unfortunately, during his 4 year old year he sustained an injury to his right hind stifle.  We gave him time off for it to heal but it just didn’t seem to be 100%.  He would be fine one day & ‘off’ the next.  In the spring of 2020 we had a second opinion done at Oakridge Vet Clinic in Edmond, OK.  It was found that he had a torn ligament in his stifle.  We proceeded forward with surgery so they could clean it up & initiate healing.  He had a very good prognosis as the fluid in his stifle was ‘healthy’ & there was no scar tissue build up.  To date, he is somewhat the same, travels really smooth some days & a little ‘off’ again the next. It has been a very difficult decision but we have decided it would be best to find a new home for Turbo.  We do not feel that he will ever be a  ‘performance’ gelding in the roping arena & would be better suited for someone who enjoys light riding.   He has a disposition suited for a youth with experience as well.  Sold to Oklahoma - $1,500

He is by Fancy Red Bark out of a daughter of Little Lido x Smart Little Lena and granddaughter of Watch Joe Jack. My folks raised Diesel and I purchased him from them in the Fall of 2013. Diesel has a laid back attitude with a very gentle disposition. He likes people and will excel at ranch pleasure, roping and working cow events. He is a good all-around prospect that should work for about any event. Diesel has been ridden extensively since he was 2 years old and has been on multiple over night trail rides. He has pulled the hot heels and has been around the ropes on team roping nights. Diesel has a nice reverse and will collect when transitioning gaites. He side passes and pivots and has good flexion. He is extremely smooth to ride and I think with the right training may do well in western pleasure. I have taken him to a couple practice sortings and he seems to be interested in the cattle. He currently stands 14.3 hands with a year left of growing to do. The only reason Diesel is being offered for sale is we have too many horses to ride to do them all justice! Sold to Wyoming - $4,000

**11.22.2018 SOLD**WA Classic Bruiser, aka “Drifter” is a 2014 bay gelding that my parents raised and sold as a yearling. He was not a planned purchase for us but when he came thru a local sale barn I couldn't let him fall into the hands of someone who was going to just try to turn him at another sale. Drifter was lightly started when we got him and has had another SOLID 30 days under saddle. He is going extremely well for the time he's had put on him. He's been used to move cows a couple times this Fall and has been ridden extensively at all the local sale barns for the past 4 weeks. He can side-pass, move off your legs, and will take his leads. Drifter is heavy made and is the kind that will last. I also can't express how SUPER QUIET and laid back this gelding is! He doesn't care about ANYTHING and actually tends to be a little lazy when ridden in the arena. When he rides outside he's not like the usual youngsters and will walk in a straight line; doesn't wander and will cover ground nicely. Drifter doesn't have a stitch of white on him and has nice, hard black hooves. I do not think he'll be one that will require much farrier maintenance. He currently stands just shy of 15.2 hands with a little room to grow. This one has the kind of disposition everyone is looking for and the type anyone will get along with! Sold to Iowa - $3,000

He is a very stout boy and we're anxious to see how he matures. Magnum is quite the 'looker' with his true blue color and should ride with the best of them when he's old enough. I've always wanted a blue roan and it makes it even sweeter that he's got a great versatile foundation pedigree. 6.26.17 ~ We have decided to casually offer this nice young prospect for sale. He is a 'true' blue roan gelding with a black nose and is put together like the old foundation type quarter horse. Magnum should mature over 15 hands when he's done growing.

Sold to Nevada - $3,000

**3.11.2017 SOLD** 2013 AQHA WA Id Watchfancyboots aka “Sugar”, is a daughter of Fancy Red Bark, double bred Tom Baker/Roan Bar 100 % foundation stallion, out of Di Id, a daughter of Id Watch and has Tiger Leo just off her papers. Sugar is a beautiful palomino roan color with that Red Bark baby doll head and sweet disposition, which she received from both sire and dam. She had 60 days of riding this summer (2016) by Nick Soulek near Kimball, SD and additional riding at home this fall. Sugar has been ridden down the road and used to move/sort cows and calves in the pasture where she had to cross water several times and move out when asked. Sugar has never offered to buck and is well started under saddle. She is going to be a BIG girl when fully mature as she currently measures 14.3 at the whither and is still growing. We had plans for Sugar to originally be trained as a head horse for Josh to rope on some day but feel that 'speed' events aren't necessarily her forte. She prefers a slower pace and think that she'd be better suited for a family/trail/ranch pleasure horse when finished out. **Update 2.14.17** ~ Sugar is really coming along nicely under saddle this winter. We've been riding her consistently 3-4 times per week in an indoor arena close by. On team roping nights we pull the head ropes off and open the chute from her back. She also seems to enjoy moving the cattle up the alleyway. She is an absolute SWEETHEART by every definition of the word. Sold to Iowa - $2,500

**4.8.2015 SOLD**2000 AQHA sorrel gelding; Gay Sugar Shadow, aka “Jax”, is an appendix registered great grandson of Rocket Wrangler & Gay Bar King. His pedigree includes Go Galla Go, Lady Bug's Moon, Pine's Easter Jet, Three Bars, Sugar Bars, Catch Leo out of Leo, Gay Wardancer, & U Catchme. Jax is quite a character & a true gentlemen. He requires a soft hand, as he is very responsive and moves off of leg cues. Standing just shy of 15.3 hands has extremely smooth gaits and gives a rockin' chair ride. Jax has no buck, but is quick, agile and fast; therefore, we would not recommend him for an inexperienced rider. He side passes, pivots, takes his leads and is easy to shoe, bathe, clip and load. He would make an excellent high school or college rodeo mount. He has competed in the Central Plains Region College Rodeo Circuit and has placed locally in barrel racing events, team pennings and sortings. Jax is a excellent all-around horse for team penning, sorting, and barrel racing. He can really read a cow and likes to work. Has tracked the hot heels and has roped about a dozen head out of the heading box. Jax has been on multiple trail rides, including the Black Hills and has ponied many colts down the gravel roads. He's the "been there, done that" kind that's hard to find and will excel in any event you choose to compete in. Sold to South Dakota - $6,500
