These two prospects will stand at stud on the ranch in the future. They will both spend some time in the show pen before we use them for breeding purposes.

CA MAGNUM

Magnum is a 2020 AQHA blue roan stallion sired by RC Calcetas. A black stallion by Redford Continental by a daughter of Leo Hancock Hayes. His dam is LJSR Dusty Shine who is a grand-daughter of The Shine (Shining Spark) and Fancy Red Bark. My parents owned Fancy Red Bark for the last 9 years of his life and these bloodlines hold a special place in our hearts. These babies have great foundation QH lines and are extremely versatile. However, my favorite quality they posses is their willing attitude and A+ dispositions. Magnum should mature in the 15.1 hand range and we have plans to show him in the future.

Magnum will stay a stallion for now as we feel he posses a lot of the key things we look for in a breeding stallion; conformation, willing attitude, excellent mind & a great foundation pedigree. He will be a great outcross on all of our mares.

Magnum is 6 panel N/N, is ‘aa’ for agouti & heterozygous for roan.

He has been finished under saddle & was ridden extensively at Kayt LaDue Equine in Stillwater, OK from September 2022 - August 2023. Magnum headed to Orth Ranch (Steve Orth) for roping training on 2/10/24.

JMP Hollywood Whiz

Diva foaled a beautiful smoky black stud colt on April 2, 2022. This is her first baby & we think she really knocked it out of the park!

"Bex" is sired by Whiz Van Winkle who has NRHA lifetime earnings in excess of $30,000. He holds a couple titles in NRHA & AQHA as well.

Diva herself has accomplished quite a bit in the roping arena, winning Josh a saddle on the heeling side in 2020. She is also a pretty gritty sorting horse & has been used for multiple purposes on the ranch.

We have decided to retain Bex for now. He is 5 panel NN via parentage & is also color tested EE (homozygous for black), n/Cr (carries 1 cream gene), aa (agouti) & nd1/nd2 for dun genes.

As of March 5, 2023 he had 3 weeks of extensive ground work done. Bex leads, loads, ties, ponies, stands hobbled, picks up his feet & ground drives.

He headed to Kayt LaDue Equine for training under saddle on 2/10/24.
